Expedition Yellowstone is a project based curriculum that meets many standards in our curriculum. It is mandatory for students to complete the curriculum, so if students do not go on the Yellowstone Trip they will need to complete the outlined curriculum at home. It is essential for them to have it completed by the return of their class so that they are ready to expand on what they have learned during the following weeks from the return. Students not going on the trip will be given the curriculum a week before their classes departure, this will ensure that the materials do not interfere with the pre-Expedition curriculum.
Projects Explanation
Students are to create some project of an aspect of Yellowstone they enjoyed or that they researched. Attached to the project should be a two paragraph explanation of their project. The first paragraph should explain what the feature is and a little science/history behind it. The second paragraph should explain why it was their favorite part of Yellowstone.
